Kauai Helicopter Tour

One of the highlights of my trip to Kauai was the amazing helicopter tour we took with Jack Harter Helicopters. It cost us a little fortune to go on this helicopter ride, but it was sooo worth it! On this tour, we got to see Nawiliwili Harbor and the Menehune Fishpond, the Hanapepe Valley and Waimea Canyon, also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. We also got a look at the North Shore beaches, including beautiful Hanalei Bay. Near the end of the tour, we got a look at Mount Waialeale, the now extinct volcano, whose summit is one of the rainiest places on earth. Finally, we caught a glimpse of the beautiful Wailua falls.

Here are the shots I took on this ride (when I wasn’t feeling too motion sick — so many turns!). These are probably some of the best pictures I took on Kauai!

Make sure you check out my intro to Kauai, Hawaii as well as my post on my top 3 beaches on the island!

PS: there weren’t any doors on this craft!!

PPS: this was our first helicopter ride ever!

What stunning photos! I have always wanted to do a helicopter ride in Hawaii – some day! Our first helicopter ride was in South Africa and it was absolutely stunning. Looks like a great time!
