Toronto Christmas Market

If you can’t make it to Europe for the Christmas season, checking out the Toronto Christmas Market is probably the next best thing! Filled with beautiful Christmas decorations, shops, and vendors, it’s probably one of the best ways to get into the Christmas spirit. The food vendors were all amazing — I highly recommend trying the Tornado Potato, the gourmet doughnuts, the doughnut chimneys (basically trdelník for anyone familiar with the Czech pastry!), and of course the mulled wine! The market also has some really nice beer gardens where you can grab a drink or even a bite to eat, with some heat lamps to keep nice and cozy!

Here are a few of my favourite pictures from my visit to the Toronto Christmas Market!

I suggest visiting the market on a weekday, as it can get pretty busy from Friday to Sunday.
Hope this post gives you a little extra Christmas cheer! Do you like visiting Christmas Markets as well? What are your favourite ones?! Let me know in the comments section!
Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season!

Love the Toronto Christmas Market! I went back in 2015. Turns out it’s a relatively new Toronto event having only been in existence since 2010. It’s one of those events that doesn’t get a lot of attention in the local news, but is starting to gain in popularity through word of mouth. During the Opening Night of the month long event, the committee typically has some sort of ceremony and invited special guests. For 2015, it was Dee Snider (Twisted Sister lead singer) and Taylor Dayne (pop icon from the late 80s/early 90s). They were in town for a Christmas musical that Dee Snider had written and that Taylor Dayne co-starred in with him. Not sure which celebrity guests they had for 2016, but something to keep in mind for anyone considering going for 2017.
